Systems thinking is an approach to decision making that considers the interconnectedness and interdependence of various components within a complex system.

Core Values

As a group we’ve articulated the following core values that serve to inform all our interactions:

  • We esteem every life as valuable, filled with potential, at every age and at every stage.

  • We believe connections with family, community, and nature enrich our lives and enhance our ability to fulfil our potential.

  • We encourage a lifetime of intellectual, social and spiritual growth, embracing with courage and enthusiasm the changes in ourselves that follow.

The Difference We Want to Make

Through this work, Marilyn and the human potential group hope to contribute to a new narrative for our region, and forge strategies to reanimate our communities in a time of economic and social challenge.

Ultimately, the intention here is to encourage discussion and action around applying a regenerative process to our thinking in Alberta today.

In Marilyn's words - "It is time to re-imagine what our world could be. What possibilities we can create together. How we organize ourselves and the communities in which we live. What will guide us in these ever-changing circumstances? How do I bring my best self forward to the task?"

As we continue to convene and learn, we remind ourselves that we are a living experiment.

Welcome.
