Our journey began with a question.
In 2013, Marilyn Milavsky asked :

"What do we need to understand about increasing our brain’s capacity to activate our potential over an entire life span, and in particular, over the ageing process?"

Marilyn gathered a small group to study this question and the Human Potential project was launched and began its exploration.

Initiatives over the years

Our exploration led to Marilyn’s development, in 2017, of the Human Potential Model.

The model seeks to inspire individuals to be cognizant of their unlimited human potential. We believe that maximizing individual potential is important to maximize our collective potential.

As the project has evolved, members have turned their focus outward to consider the interdependency of fully realized human potential, community and the health of our planet.

The group has studied the design of regenerative cultures, drawing intently on Daniel Wahl’s work.

We launched a series of “Potent Talks” to involve fellow Calgarians in discussion around a multiplicity of topics including:

  • community connectedness

  • the positive impact of including time in nature in our lives

  • regional economic transition

  • and so much more.
